The bread is a fairly simple sandwich bread recipe, only six ingredients!
One packet of instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons of yeast)
3 tablespoons sugar of your choice (to feed the yeast in the water)
2 1/4 cups water (110-120 degrees F)
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons oil of your choice (canola, vegetable, olive, etc)
6 to 6 3/4 cups of flour
Mix the first three together, let proof for 5 minutes.
Add salt and oil, mix well with 3 cups of the flour until a 'soft dough' forms (a sludge)
Add remaining flour, knead or mix on the 'stir' level in a kitchenaid for 5 minutes.
Oil and let rise at room temp in a bowl for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or overnight for 2-3 hours.
Beat the dough down, then cut into loaves and bake loose like a french loaf, or use to make up to three small loaves.
Cooks at 375 degrees for 25 minutes in a pan, 20 minutes as loose loaves, and 17 minutes for meat buns.
Alternately, while the dough is rising, you can cook 1lb of ground beef, venison, lamb, or whichever meat you prefer in a skillet with some McCormick's Mild Taco seasoning! Once it cools, put approximately 1/4 cup in each bun you make! I cut approximately 3oz bits off the risen dough, formed cups, then sealed them up after putting the meat in.
