I don't usually post photos on here, but I knew I'd eventually get around to it with this, so here's my JDM y0 1987 RX7 FC3S!
This is what I've been spending far too much time and money on over the past few months, but it's been a sick project, and I'm really happy with how it's going! It DID at one point have a front lip, but it was removed before I bought the car, so it's still begging for one (even though it's SO low it'll probably get twatted on everything that isn't level)! I've done a shit ton of work on this so far, and I'll probably keep going and going, because these cars are so good to work on.
ROTATING TRIANGLES? IN MY ENGINE? haha, Rotaries are so misunderstood, but if you understand what you're doing, they're awesome, and the sound is so unique and crazy!
A few spec points:

-OMP drift deep dish steering wheel
-Anodized blue lightweight wheel bolts
-Magic Tree's, a domokun and a Mario Kart Yoshi on my dash
-Stickers!
That's pretty much all I can think of right now.. it's hard to keep track when it comes to writing them down, so I've probably forgotten some! There's still a lot more I plan to get done, and hopefully soon getting the diff welded! DriftDriftDriftttt, it's really addictive, but expensive :[
Seriously though, I know some are not gonna like it, do us all a favour and don't comment if you're gonna say something retarded and negative. This car is my hard work! I'm loving this car right now, and I effing LOVE old school JDM!

I prefer my pistons thank you very much, but I aint gonna lie, rotaries are hella fun to drive, and you got yourself a prime example of a nice FC. Ever think of bridge porting it or building a 4 rotor? (you get a 4 rotor and I will suck your dick any day you want, for a ride :P)
Both things are way out of my price range at the moment, I've already spent a lot on this one so far. 4 Rotors are ridiculous haha, even the 20b triple rotaries are haaard as balls to get hold of for a decent price over here, but quads are serious shit. I'm just enjoying this how it is, and I'll see where I get, but I fucking love old school JDM!
That's really awesome looking, dude. Those white wheels look incredibly good on there.
Never was much of a fan of the Gen I or IIs we got over here in the states, the japanese ones though seem just to be right. I loved the last generation III though they look so awesome.
Wondering though, think it would be possible to swap the RX8 (Renesis?) motor into a gen III or II? heard the RX8 engine was a lot more reliable.

My dad had an 80s RX7 in bright red that he drove everywhere. It's notable for being the car that got him the most expensive speeding ticket he's ever gotten in his life. While my mom was in the car. The things rotary engines do to sane, normal people . . .
Also your car is fucking sexy.

Not much of a car person myself (Like, at all.) but I've always found Wankel rotary engines fascinating mechanically.
In particular their light weight for the amount of power produced makes them usable as engines in aircraft:

As far as your car goes I do like the two-tone paint scheme it has going, and the painted rims look nice.

Beautiful car, and it looks like you put a lot of tine and money into it.
I used to have one of these myself, a 1988 Turbo II. It was a really cool car, but at the time I didn't know nearly enough about vehicles to get it running the way I wanted to, so I ended up selling it off pretty cheap. But I still have a wistful love affair with the 13B.

I'm a Rotary-Engine fan too, at least it's a German invention too, thanks to mister Wankel
And one of my favs is theNSU Ro 80 (Ro is for Rotary), this car looks already very futuristic for it being built in 1967 ^^
"In Europe, Citroen was mostly the keeper of the aero flame for production cars. But one outstanding example in Germany was the rotary engine-powered NSU Ro 80 from 1967...."

That's sick man, I would LOVE to put a 20B into mine, but I don't have the time or the money right now, especially now as my Summer holiday is over and I've got to go back to uni :[ I spent most of my Summer on this so far! Is that project complete yet? How long have you guys been on it? It's good that the FC's have such huge engine bays!
Also, that turbo is fucking HUUUGE, what is it? And I love that you bought half a Cosmo from Japan on a crate hahaha

Thank you! Im glad you like it so far.^^
Is still under construction at the moment, I started the 3 rotor FC project back in 2005 But do to the cost of parts and no job its on hold for now.
Yes the FC3S has a very big engine bay but, its still not big enough for the 20B-REW, i had to use the TII hood to make room for the intake manifold + change the water pump and make a new front sway bar.
The turbo is a trust T88H-38GK its good for 1000+ whp but, Im only running it at 15 psi on 91 pump gas it will be good for around 700whp. and it was fun finding a good JC Cosmo half cut but, Its the best way to get all the 20B-REW parts.^^

honestly, this a brilliant photo of a car. May i ask you which camera you use? It came out uber professional. Somehow i like the super clean and plain street too. The car itself is awsome as well and one of the most cleanest ive ever seen! :3 I mean look at it guys, it has no bit dirt on it not even the tires are dusty °^° ! Last thing to say is i used the same "Wunderbaum" as you. The green one with the face on it. Thanks for sharing! :3 !!
I used a Canon EOS 400D SLR for this, there's a bit of info up the top which automatically goes up with most photos. We did a photoshoot of a few cars, so they were all SUPER clean when we took these photos haha
Someone else mentioned Wunderbaum's, they're called Magic Tree's over here, which come in tons of scents, but theres a few which have a face on them instead of the magic tree logo and scent name. I just bought these ones because they smell awesome! Thanks for the comments dude :]

I knew there is something with the cleanness xD But you did a amazing work on photoshop with this. And dam first time i didnt notice the photoinformations xD And yes i dont know any other face magic tree then the green one. But true, there are tons of it. Right now ive "New Car" in my new car xDDD xP And no problem thanks for sharing again!!
Verryy nice.
I had a 1987 FC3S GXL. Got rid of it a few yrs ago.
Its a shame you don't got the 13BT.
However, its not so bad seeing as the 13B as awhole, has the induction port system where the 5th/6th ports open up for Air induction acting as a small turbo within itsself.
Looks frigin amazing. I can't wait to get my paws on another one.

It could come down slightly, but the picture creates a bit of an illusion at the back in this picture as the rear tyres have quite a lot of stretch on them, so from the side/in this light it can sometimes make it look like it's not sitting snug onto them, when it's actually pretty close. I haven't dyno'd it yet either as there's some more things I have planned.
haha!! Good, Now it is extra awesome! Represent! I demand drift video! Or at least stills! Have you take it to a track?!?1 Im dieing to get my car on the track but it's just been endless setback up till now. I wont be drifting though, Think i'll need another 100kw before i start doing that. and another 20 grand spare for the suspension and tire required.
Respect.

very nice, I plan on selling my 240sx to get a jdm car too, and to be honest I rarely seen a JDM car in such a neat condition! those being rather inexpansive around here are usually bought by people who push them hard and don't care about having a couple of dents and scratches on it, you're canadian or just an extremely lucky american?
British actually haha, but it's a JDM car. They're real rare over here, I've not seen many others, so I've tried to keep it pretty clean. It's not completely mint, and I have drifted/tracked it, but last year it had a pretty extensive restoration, so it looks pretty fresh - especially from a distance haha! They're pretty reasonably priced over here too - IF you can find one! Like you said though, finding a good one is a mission, so I do feel lucky.
Now this is fucking sexy. I was hunting for FC's a few years back, but I couldn't find one that was worth a damn and wouldn't take a couple of grand just to get running.
Seems like everyone who ever owns one of these beauties drives them as if they're stolen, and I don't blame them. >.<
The closest thing to a drift worthy car that I've owned was a '79 toyota Corona (Yes, corona, not corolla). But I was stupid, took it out to a cow pasture, and decided to launch it off a dirt ramp made for 4 wheelers (Ended up bending the chassis). Ahhh, to be young again.
