For more than 10 years now I am enjoying thinking and drawing gentle macro/micro scenarios. Vore kink is somewhat close to this topic, so I eventually got dragged into it too.
There are different views on it: It can be cruel, violent. A way to show complete dominance and ultimate power, treating others just like a food, simple fuel for your body. On the other side it can be a gentle, careful way to give the "ultimate hug", protect and be very close. Of course, there is no clear line between good or bad, it can also be willing digestion, unaware vore and other things like that. I understand most of it, but to each its own.
As for me, I prefer soft vore with giant size difference. Its often feels like a escape from world, feeling safe with someone big and powerful, being unimportant, nothing but a speck comparing to other beasts. And in more darkest days, its a thought about vanishing without a trace forever by either digestion or absorbtion...
That doesn't mean that i don't enjoy comforting my friends and people, bringing my characters as preds in that scenarios too! Tho I usually cant predict how I will feel tomorrow. Usually the line between prey and pred heavily depends on my mood.
...Either way, its a silly thoughts to look at from a side. Dunno. Maybe some of it will resonate with you in a way?

This does resonate with me. I enjoy being kept safe inside a host like that. Especially if I can explore their inner world and see some interesting sights of their body in operation from an internal perspective. I also like to get manipulative and see if I can nudge my host around in ways I'd enjoy, like being more active, or eating some ice cream so I can have some too.
It does resonate with me, especially the gentle, and separate world part. For me, I show vore through macro preds/micro preys with a safe and (sometimes) unaware aspect to it, with the micro prey either finding a way out from the macro prey or willing going inside to help them instead. It can be a "fantastic voyage", but regardless, the fact that there's "another world" within the bodies of creatures and the potential symbiotic bond that may form between pred and prey will always be fascinating for me.
