Have a look at the Matactl family and their bus— Mr Matactl is a bus driver.
And a closer look at the family:

= and Tial Marubah, their adopted elder nb child [above].
They had adopted Tial because they're unfortunately infertile, and when the technology allowed, they had Rayan with help from technology, too.

A Zaw-Afikh's climbing abilities do come in handy and I imagine Tial calculated that would be enough height and distance to be in picture without having to pose with the family and get caught up in the group hug. Of course they will be glad when it's all done with and they can get back inside.
I imagine Rayan's making sure he puts enough affection into the hug for both himself and his sibling and if Tial's looking a bit pouty, the family knows that's just their way.
I like the licence plate for the bus spelling out 'trip gator'.
