“When the TW folk first approached me and asked me to join them as some sort of engineer guy, I was sceptical. Very sceptical, actually.
Why would they take some random Viskal they found in the back of one of their trucks one day and ask him that?
But it sure made for a better job than repairing cars and weapons for the local raider groups though. So I said yes.
Not soon after, they shipped me to some place far away in the north… with one of those gunship things… Never thought I would see one from the inside and not just in the sky with its guns pointed at me, haha!
When I arrived, I was speechless… I have never ever before seen a structure as large as the Games Without Frontiers. I just could not believe that someone built it, let alone the fact that it apparently flew it around the stars before arriving here.
What shocked me more though, was the state that the place was in… It obviously fell from the sky, crashing hard into the cold floor where it must have stayed for at least a few years.
It was covered in a thick layer of snow.. and the entrance was just a hole that someone must have cut into the hull of the craft. The doors inside needed to be forced open and closed with a metal bar and some of the corridors were bent or just completely collapsed.
Not long after my arrival, the so-called ‘captain’ of the place approached me, giving me a walk around the ruins before asking me if I, out of all people, could fix this place up.. make it into a base of sorts. If course I instantly said yes! I would be an idiot to go back to the raiders after getting this opportunity…
…
Even if I have no idea how to get even started with all this”

“First I set up a workshop in one of the hangars with the help of the crew of the ship. Turns out that this giant ship was transporting equipment to set up colonies on this planet, making my job a lot easier. Just take the stuff they wanted to use to make factories and such in some colony and use it inside of the ship instead.
Now that I have a place with enough space to work in, I can focus on getting the critical systems of the ship up and running. The captain person said something about the ships main ‘reactor’ having issues, which apparently need checking out...
Time to find out what a reactor is and how to fix it…”
