Meine gefesselten und geknebelten Lieblingswölfe 7: Rama
Finally a lifesign from this ole rat named Eternal.
My pencil picture project has started again and I now try to use as much free time as possible to fulfill it - at least the part that needs to be done until Christmas...
To reward myself for getting my ass kicked I picked up the bound and gagged wolves in the dungeon and this time we present Rama from Disney´s animated film "The Junglebook". I like him mostly for his german voice actor Joachim Nottke, who has the perfect daddy wolf voice, although Rama´s screentime was very short.
Rama from the Junglebook belongs to Disney

Not understanding a lenguage is no hindrance for me to like a certain voice actor. For example I love the japanese voices of Crocodine, Baran and Demon King Vearn in the 2020 version of Dragon Quest Adventures of Dai, just for their voices, how they sound like.
As for this clip, it is probably from the 70s or early 80s. Maybe it is a clip from the semi documentary series "Aktenzeichen XY - ungelöst" This series was unique in Germany and Austria, because there actors played scenarios that happened in crimes in real life and after the clip the chairman offered infos about the suspect criminal and asked the watchers to keep their eyes open. With this several criminals could get arrested for real.

Rama is not featured in Disney´s Jungle Book 2 from 2002. He has just two short appearences in the original animated film from 1967, the last project Walt Disney himself supervised before he died.

WOW no wonder I don't remember, I literally have not watched the first Jungle Book since I was literally maybe somewhere around earlier Elementary School...
Well, that and Rama had barely any dialogue and the wolf pack also had barely any involvement, in general the film had barely any wolves involved! It was just the big black cat and Baloo.
I remember the scene but I never caught the name! That's how little I've really researched anything Disney lately because its just...not of my interest! Its weird...I just don't have interest in Disney.
I have more interest in SNK than Jungle Book or Disney.
Also the Pack Leader for some reason I remember literally hearing the "Good Luck" part in another Disney Film which I want to say 101 Dalmatians, which was also made around the same time during the Xerox Era of Disney where they had to reuse alot of key frames or in general animation frames for more animations. But I could be absolutely super wrong on that. The voice actor just seems...like he was directly voicing another character during the older animations.

Funny thing was that the animators had to discard months of work, because Walt Disney told them that this version was too dark and serious, they should have fun with the topic, thus led to this pretty much carefree version. The only thing left is the intro music for the very first scene.
Thanks, sir.
Yes, that was the intention.
Every single tied up wolf in this gallery sports another kind of emotion. Holdem was content, just curious. Weregarurumon just realized that struggling is futile, Greyfus is annoyed, Greymane is grumpy as much as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Akela is kind of dissappointed.
There are more to come^^

Rama does have quite a look of despondency about him, not that he's in a state of absolute despair though more sadness and worry perhaps not so much for his own fate as for his son. Like Mowgli's other adoptive father figure, he's got quite a dignified look to him in anthro form.
Remembering my thought with Eternal having collected the wolves within his castle, I imagine that Mowgli perhaps having made his way there and making his way through the castle to find his father. He doesn't yet know there are two fathers from different worlds, though whichever one he does find first could return home immediately.
Both Rama and Akela have been told of this, though Rama has a feeling that he might be the one whom remains a guest a while longer. While he knows they will all go home eventually he's still not really enjoying himself overly much especially as his cell is next to the Sheriffs and he's forced to listen to his grumblings.

I don't think I ever heard Rama with a German accent.
As for suggestions:
He could be stripped down to a loincloth only.
Used as a slave such as doing quarry work, chopping wood, cleaning, and being a server.
If he disobeys, he'll be chained up in a dungeon cell for days. And possibly tortured as punishment.
