I have had an immense appreciation and adoration for this image since you first posted it and it made the rounds. I could not even -begin- to fathom how... until I -think- I just recognized the base pattern that the iris is comprised of, and the whole thing just beautifully unraveled to me...

friggin' bravo this is all the more gorgeous to me even after theorizing how the magic was done. I would die to live in a world to meet this gaze in person, however perilous.
