In another time, another era, another place or perhaps no place at all... there was a girl. A rabbit.. alone on a desolate beach. Black on the horizon in every direction, an ocean the colour of the ink of an octopus. The sky is dark and overcast always, only the light of the moon makes this possible to know, its eerie glow casting on the shoreline for all of eternity... The girl, having grown from a baby until she seemed to stop aging, spent endless time following the beach and finding small things that would wash ashore. Of the many things that did, most of them would be books, and she would pick them up and give them a read to the best of her ability, for there were endless worlds in those pages, all of them full of characters, people, tales of imagination beyond her wildest dreams.. Books were an escape for the girl, a way to enter worlds and live real lives. When the book would close, she would find herself back on the beach, back into a world of nothing, of loneliness.. of sadness.
