(like the Veleta pic posted before this one, this is a pic I've posted pretty much everywhere except, oddly enough, here. So I am rectifying that.)
Judas Basilisk,, the oh-so-suave and enigmatic red rooster that's supposed to be one of (if not the) main villains from my little story project thing. What started off as a simple sketch in the corner of my sketchbook became something...well, something really darn neat, as far as I'm concerned. I liked it so much, I made it wallpaper-sized. Roosters are cool. And yes, I AM biased because of the fact that that's my Chinese zodiac sign. Sue me.

According to my notes, Judas here's supposed to be a "Black-Breasted Red Phoenix", though this being a fairly old sketch done from memory and given a single-color theme, his design isn't really all that accurate. I've been meaning to give him a slight re-design anyway, so.
...though it's going to take alot for me to omit the stupid-long and thin wattle, as that's been part of him from the word go :|

Thanks so much. Truth be told I've always had trouble designing villain-types since forever (well, the dumb henchmen types are easy enough, my issue is with archvillains/supervillain types). Basilisk here's definitely my first real sucess story as far as I'm concerned. He's just *fun* to think up a-hole caliber badassery for, even if my crappy writing skills can never do him justice.

This is very, very true! Really, I mostly just mentioned that as an example of why the character's fun: most every time I try to think of what evil or horrid thing would be even beyond his ability to tolerate it, I keep getting more or less the same answer: "Oh, dear, you wound me. You honestly think I woudn't go that far for the sake of my ideals?"
So that's why I like him. He's a damn cock. And I don't just mean that literally.
