Fur insulates them from heat...don't get caught in the shortsighted trap many people are getting caught in today of thinking that more fur is hotter, and less is cooler. Cutting the fur of a dog short just exposes its skin to more heat (i.e. makes a dog hotter) and more importantly, exposes their pigment-free skin to the sun and thus exposing them to serious risk of skin cancer...

Thats true, especially for the hairless dogs out there!

I recognize two of the three breeds in this picture...but what is the one on the far right? It looks like a crossbreed between a Pyrennean Mountain Dog and a German Shepherd. o.o
