My final for my color and design class. I don't remember the exact prompt, besides it being along the lines of use simple shapes to illustrate a fable, folktale, etc. in the medium of our choice ( after having spent a semester painting squares in gouache, this was amazing. ) I recently found the file while reformatting, and I thought I'd share it here. I really wish I had a little more gift for design, because this looked so much cooler in my head >:(

Short story of what's going on is that coyote is stealing fire from the fire beings ( they are not spiders. I promise, they aren't. ) who are pretty much described as being black with claws and red eyes. Coyote being the sneaky critter he is has snuck up on them at dawn, their moment of weakness, and is escaping down the mountain, laughing at them.
