With a large poster made to promote the event, Dennis reluctantly felt the need to replicate the promotional material and began to act more aggressive. He shoulder-bumped people in the hallway, tried to insult his opponent before the big match with mixed results and even cornered him at the gym! He showed his opponent a punching bag with his face printed on it. “See this?” Dennis asked. “This is you!”. He swung his fist at the punching bag with full strength, launching the chained bag right at the ceiling! Before he could gloat, the bag swung back down thanks to gravity, smashing into the jobber and knocking him unconscious!
Eventually, the big fight had arrived! In the ring stood his opponent! Standing at 5’6” and weighing 165 pounds, the mixed-breed mutt named Ricky was ready to rumble! Dennis growled at his much smaller opponent as they tapped gloves, though the hat-wearing middleweight didn’t seem to pay much attention to it. The bell was rung and Dennis quickly proceeded to get his big yellow butt kicked! Despite the obvious size difference, the labrador-husky began to get thrown around the ring by the much smaller mutt! Soon Ricky forced Dennis into a corner and proceeded to wail on his poor stomach! Punch after punch struck his belly as the massive jobber was left completely defenceless and at the mercy of his opponent.
A minute into the third round, and Dennis was officially unable to fight anymore. The golden-furred pooch was left dangling on the corner ropes for support. Eyes white, chest caved-in and bruised and with a large strand of drool hanging on his lips. Ricky raised his arms to celebrate his win before quickly giving his victim a sympathetic hug. He thanked the jobber for “not taking this fight too seriously” and offered to get the poor pooch a matching hat later as a peace offering. Certainly a unique gift idea, to be sure.
Soon the battered loser was dragged away from the ring as Ricky continued to celebrate his easily won victory. Injured from the fight, still considered a laughing stock and with a another loss under his belt, Dennis had once again fallen victim to the dreaded status quo...
What’s this? Art of my lemonade dog getting beaten up yet again? Say it ain’t so! At this point, you should just give him a sympathy card before he even steps into the ring...
Ricky belongs to https://mobile.twitter.com/dorklyandy who is honestly a pretty cool person. He’s always a blast to talk to and has a great cast of characters under his belt. I’m glad I was able to go in on a co-commission with him since this turned out great!
Art was done by https://mobile.twitter.com/hikaristar_art whose stuff is seriously good! I’m honestly shocked that this piece only took a couple of days to sketch, draw and colour! I may have to commission them again in the future. Go pay them money to draw more fluffy boi’s fighting!
