That’s understandable! Most people probably wouldn’t, haha.
Nyx here definitely did want that (and personally, it’s tempting for me as well, haha.), but permanence is not everyone’s cup of tea, and soul vore isn’t either.
Nobody can stop you from imagining that all TF art is temporary! I know people who do the opposite as well. People have different tastes, and that’s cool.
Asking in the comments is rarely productive though. You usually won’t get an answer, it often won’t be what you want to hear, and it can get very repetitive for the artists who hear those questions a lot, haha.

Though, as a note, "rarely" definitely doesn't mean "never." Sure, some artists are super tired of getting comments like that (Virmir's take on a similar situation, for example), but really small artists are usually just happy to get some interaction, haha.
(Plus, comments are weighted really heavily in FA's sorting algorithm, so that's always a plus for the person posting)
Personally, my conversations usually go one of two ways:
They ask "Is this permanent?", I respond "If you'd prefer it that way, sure! If not, nope!", and then they respond with either "Without consequences, this would feel rather boring. (Reasons why the reversion methods I set up in the comic would end up not working)" or "I definitely wouldn't want it to be if I were in that position. I'm glad their friends will show up to help them soon!"
Sometimes I make multiple endings and let people choose what they want, like in the endings of my newest TF game, "Escape from Kettuloch." It's more work, but it lets more people get the exact endings they want. I'm glad that I like temporary stuff and permanent stuff though, otherwise that extra work wouldn't be as fun, haha.
