Akiko character and attitude has been changing a lot throughout this comic hasn't it

Akiko is a weird one. When in a realxed or comfortable state she can be almost childlike in her own way, she's super playful and quite fun to be around. BUt when she's presented with work or a situation when its time to be more serious it's like her whole personality changes and she takes a very no nonsense sort of approach. We havent really seen much of Akiko to really work out what her deal is yet But Itw as her and Jo who set up CTN so she's one down from the boss really

And speaking of Debbie, it's said that when an honest man discovers he is mistaken, he will either stop being mistaken or he will stop being honest. Debbie is not a man, but the pattern holds true-Sadly, I don't think she has been honest for a long time.

Not everything from ancient times was binary gendered nor is it meant to be any form of misogynistic misandric or transphobic. Its just how humans used to talk back then.

We know that Debbie has her secrets as she even says her tail spots could be different and she can be very untrusting of other people. We have also seen that Debbie is also able to get into a mindset and act out a role as a pleaser in the nightclub and in the room with Ace. My theory, is that Debbie has worked in these situations before joining Cottontail Nursery, she would be feel alone against the world, causing a desire to satisfy oneself. After she joined Cottontail Nursery, she now has the feeedoms to not be viewed as a sex object, she acts with all the carefree attitude that she so desires and after being confronted by the fact of "I don't think you are capable of looking after anyone than yourself." either proves that she had lost someone dearly because of her past actions, actually feels that way but does not want that statement to be true, or that she actually cares for everyone but still have armour around her heart and acts apathetic.

On page 76 I think it was implied that Debbie used to be a caretaker, so it seems to have struck a chord with her 🤔 hope we get to see some back story about Debbie some time in the future.

I'm thinking Deb has definitely lost someone before (either partner, a little, or someone else).

She's doing a classic move. She was rejected and majorly hurt, so she keeps everyone at a distance so that, when they get rid of her, it won't hurt her as much.

That's my theory. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the staff are, in one way or another, also little projects like Saffy is.
