"The Ghost of Inktober" will continue for a few days (see journal if you're so bored ).
So ! i wanted to post this pic in Inktober '21 all along - it was in the bunches of files i was getting ready -
but my posting schedule became over-full of old inkings - and old teen-age-inkings like this....
one of my top fave teen inkings - combining comics, psychedelia, surrealism (yes odd abstract inking lines are quite abstract - i mean the shadow lines... boredom stuff about styles - let's skip that ) , pop-culture - and a super cute girl.
they had me at 'super cute girl'.

clean-up and grey background frame added in Krita just now - cuz a little added presentation value never hurts.

Wow! In my memory i did this pic a year or so before the first issue of Heavy Metal hit north am - but not so.
i think i associate this picture with an earlier time - because the main influences were Kirby and some 1950's illustrators. Influences from North American underground comix, etc etc.

i think it always intended for there to be a colour version of this... and it's likely to be a bit loud as psychedelic art was a bit of an influence ... or the touquuise-y-purple colour-schemes i was using back then ...and i might try the opposite of that...an old faded children's book illustration ...
