Aside from the Dire Pelican, another feared inhabitant of the Vogelheim shorelines is the Dire Seagull.

Though not as big as one may expect, Dire Seagulls are still quite large and deadly predators. They are highly aggressive and voracious, willing to attack almost anything that's unlucky enough to cross their path. These birds form large gangs which focus on a single target and peck it till incapacitation before they eat it.

Impossible to tame, impossible to reason with, they are to be avoided at all costs. It is possible to fight them off with magic, especially Area of Effect Spells, but the only sure-fire way of surviving an encounter with them is by distracting them with an easier and bigger meal. Dire Seagulls are predators, but there is no chance in hell that they will pass up a free meal, such as a whale or seal carcass.
