Maine Vacation Day 3 - Low Tide
This is what the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse overlooks at low tide. There are two types of rock here on the coast of Maine, Granite and Basalt. The Basalt wears away faster than the granite hence the ridge heading into the water. This is at low tide. The tides were rather weak for Maine at the time of our visit because it was a Neap tide, but they were still impressive.
