Shaazgai's 90s-2000s incarnation. He reincarnates about every 20 years, around 40 (first wrinkle means time to die :D!). He makes sure each his next body is even more exquisite than the previous one.
Fun fact, except for being a lawyer, Shaazgai is a reincarnating sorcerer serving Ahriman, the Persian god of chaos.
Another fun fact - Shaazgai picks not just his bodies but the bodies Blaise incarnates in as well! Why is he holding a severed head? Whose head is it? For answers and so many more fun facts... just read our book :3!
This art is by Zlu! She tried to make it like Klimt and I think it looks amazing.

If you prefer something shorter, you can start with a related short story about a grumpy god and his stabby partner in crime - High Priests of America>>
And if you want to see if the characters are up your alley, you can look at them here: https://www.sharadrass.com/city-and.....st/characters/ (if you click on the portraits, there's a non-spoilery snippet about them too! c;)
Here's our tumblr blog if you want to keep up with shenanigans & updates; https://cityandthebeast.tumblr.com/
We also got the below fun promotional blurb to maybe entice you to give our book a try? :D
City and the Beast is a story about a thief trying to find the key to getting his life back on track, about a homeless man who wants to stop stealing lives, and about a wayward biker delivering packages for a shady priest. In the streets and docks of New Coalport the business is booming, shadowy figures are lurking, and you get to experience their double-dealings from at least three different perspectives. Who is the beast and who is the man in this city, and do falling stars really bring luck? Do people need ears to hear, and how can a lawyer cause a basement crack? Read and find out!
Thanks to everyone who checks it out!
