Coming back to the land of Vogelhiem, we are met with one of its most reviled inhabitants: The Dire Pelican.

Equally as ravenous as its Earth counterparts, The Dire Pelican is a ruthless predator that stalks the shorelines and waters of Vogelheim's coastal areas. Due to its sheer size, it can realistically attempt to swallow prey even as big as a human, though most of the time it favors either fish or chicks of other sea birds. Also, like its Earth counterparts, this feathered monster cares little whether its prey is alive or not when it swallows it.
...which also explains why dear old Milo decided to arm himself with his trusty staff, in case the bird tries to pull a fast one on him.
