SO MUCH twist to keep track of. The torso's twisted, the arms are stretched out, her head is twisted, the legs are almost crossed over one another-

Virtually any charcoal or chalk-type pastel can be painted the same way. Including sepia stuff. Also cheap pens, but they have to be REALLY cheap felt tip, because the first feature that they add when you start spending more is waterproofiness. :p
Oil pastels resist water, as do wax-based stuff like crayons and most colored pencils - so they don't work.
(Prismacolor media, while waterproof, is alcohol soluble though, and can be blended that way. Prismacolor pencils, markers, nupastel - all alcohol-soluble)
