The third round begins with the two fighters taking a slower approach. The two had spent the first few minutes throwing lighter strikes as if they were waiting for the other hare to slip up. No telling blows are landed until Gritt strikes Kaye’s nose with a fast straight. Kaye takes a pace backwards as Gritt moves in to strike at his torso again. Gritt lands a few good punches on Kaye’s abs as the hare starts to wince from the shots.

Kaye soon throws himself onto Gritt to deliver a knee in response. They begin to wrestle about in a clinch, tossing a few punches in between. Gritt suddenly feels a sharp pain on his head as Kaye grabs the hare’s ear with a tight grip. Gritt panics and tries to shake the other hare’s arm loose but to no avail. Kaye spots a new opening as he starts hammering Gritt’s face with heavier punches. Soon Gritt follows suit and desperately swings at Kaye with similar strength.

The bell rings with the two hare’s now sporting slightly blacked eyes.
