And thus we come to what happened. As it turns out, there's been a rash of recent smuggling jobs from Zootopia out into the boonies and beyond. This has not gone unnoticed, but it seems like every time they send someone to deal with the problem it only gets worse, with the biggest effort, the entire force deployed or so it seemed, resulting in a huge payday for the smugglers somehow, and giving them almost enough to literally buy city hall.

Out of options, and at the end of his rope, the Chief allows the ZPD's 'rookies of the year' to try their hand at cracking the case. It seemed, for a while, to stump even them, however, as they went 'undercover' as civvies back in Bunny Burrow. It was, however, while watching Judy deal with a bout of indigestion that Nick had a sudden idea, and with a quick look around, found some very special 'Shrinking Violets' in the crop field of one particular farm.

Downing a few, he was soon reduced, along with his clothes for reasons that escape him, to a small mouse sized guy. He then climbed into a hotdog bun, and snuggling up against the soft walls, had Judy swallow him whole, the rabbit being very nervous about this, as he hadn't really bothered to explain himself, just saying to trust him, as she gulps, and sends him down to her belly.

In second, he confronts Duke Weaslton, Zootopia's second most successful grifter, who had, apparently, taken to using the cops themselves, going on patrol or vacations outside of Zootopia to smuggle the hot ice from the city, by shrinking down along with the score, and literally riding out inside them. Of course, Duke isn't going to give up a lucrative thing like this, and the two start brawling inside the rabbit tummy, as Judy outside rubs it, wondering just what is going on in there.
