I pack mate of mine gave me a bag of hot peppers so I decided to make some hot sauce out of them.
Ingredients:
Olive oil
Ghost peppers
Red chilli pepper
Cilantro
Half of a spanish onion
Frank's red hot sauce
4 Roman tomatoes
4 Limes
Jar of Grapefruit
Spices:
Fresh black pepper
Himalayan pink salt
Sugar
Curry powder
Method:
Cut the stems off of the peppers and place them in a small pot with a bit of oil and cover with a lid and let cook on med-low heat until the peppers have softened (keep in mind the frying peppers will give off a lot of spicy heat.) Once the peppers have softened dump the peppers and the oil in to the blender. Cut up the onion in to big chunks and add to a blender. Next use a carrot peeler to peels the skins off of 2 of the limes and add them to the blender. Juice all 4 limes and add the juice in to the blender then cut the tomatoes in to chunks and add them in to the blender. Next add the cilantro in to the blender with a splash of Frank's red hot and the jar of grapefruit with the juice as well as the curry powder salt and black pepper. Blend up the mixture up and have a taste (if its to hot then add some sugar to help bring the heat down.)
From Chris: Remember, ghost peppers are very, very, VERY hot peppers - make sure you wear gloves when chopping (and possibly a face mask as well)!
And the longer you cook it, the better it will taste!
