*Giggles* Don't worry Wolfie, Mousey is not done yet.
After watching
RabidTwitch's Live Stream today, and learning quite a bit, I thought I'd share what goes into my own creative process. After getting
FurryWolf's permission, I decided I'd go back and draw something that popped into my head, the moment I saw this dude.
In any fan art, the most important thing is to get as close as possible a likeness, within your own ability. That's what this collage is all about. Using FurryWolf's own drawings as a reference, I started doodling.
Since I still can't draw a muzzle to save my life, I went with the more Anime influenced style, I usually use, though, though a couple of simple tricks, the area around his nose and mouth do have some definition. It's most easily visible in the figure and lower left hand head.
As you can see, the hardest part, for me, was getting his hair to look right. I had the basic shape down, pretty easily; refining it to match the source drawing was the hard part. It wasn't till I noticed the slight hair bow shape to the top of his bangs, that I finally got a decent likeness, in the lower right head. The rest is just combing everything I learned from doing these doodles.
