Robin walked through the door and knew exactly what he needed to fix the situation he was in. There was a glowing about the size of a large book 30
feet in front of him. He knew it was this because it glowed and emitted visible energy like he'd not seen in any other artifact. The only thing standing between him and it was a short walk. Until a giant triceratops skeleton started to move from its platform. It took a few steps, glanced at the wolf, and decided it was angry.
As it charged at him, he didn't know how to contain it, he didn't think he could tame it, and he knew he couldn't fight it, so the only thing he knew he could do was run.
He tried to run away from the giant beast, but it was no use, as it kept following him around the room. Even when it slammed into walls, it removed itself quickly and kept chasing him. He knew that with the nap he'd taken just a bit earlier, he was only slightly below fully charged, so he could last for about thirty minutes, tops. As he ran, he wondered why this beast was giving him so much trouble. He and his team had faced bigger threats before. Then he realized, he was alone. His teammates were stronger, his teammates were braver, without them, he was nothing.
"No"
He remembered a long time ago, when a he said something like that to a friend.

"You guys are so much braver, and stronger, and I don't even know what I'm doing here. You guys are much better knights than I am."
The griffin put a hand on his shoulder and looked him in the eyes.
"No, we're not. None of us are "better" than anyone else. Sure I may be the bravest, and Emma may be strongest, but none of us are smarter than you. And you're still braver and stronger than you think. If you weren't, you wouldn't be a knight."
The wolf took his words to heart, and smiled back at his friend.

Robin stopped in his tracks and slid to the side, letting the triceratops smash into the wall.
"I'm not afraid of you anymore," he said to the skeleton. He was lying a bit, but there was nothing left to do but face his fear.
He was opposite to the side he came in, with the clock now directly behind the dinosaur. Robin ran full speed at the creature and the triceratops followed suit. At the last second, he slid underneath it, straight to the clock. This confused the dinosaur enough to give Robin the chance to grab the clock and get a headstart.
He ran into the previous room and hid behind a display stand. He heard the skeleton burst into the room, but dared not speak his head out. He heard footsteps growing louder, approaching him. As the large shadow creeped towards him, he moved to the next side of the stand, facing the wall. He saw a charger someone left, probably because it was frayed beyond proper use by now. He checked the puddle of water nearby, a safe distance away, but still might reach the wire eventually. Then he realized something. The clock was mechanical. Its magical functioning was most likely linked to its mechanical functioning. If he could short it out, it was risky, but just might work.
He dropped the charger, still plugged in, into the puddle, careful not to step in it, then dropped the clock. If the clang of metal on a hard floor wasn't enough, the large spark it produced was probably what got the creature's attention from across the room. It charged at him, but before it reached him, it simply stopped dead in its tracks.
For a few seconds it stayed there, and Robin stared at it, til it slowly dissolved into sparkles. Then, the entire room around him was consumed by an ethereal glow, and he was back in the storage room, but clock in hand. Without the life threatening stakes, he finally took a moment to properly assess the artifact in his hands. It had a fairly ordinary face, but it was framed by a golden bronze rim decorated with card suits. He knew exactly what this was.
"Carroll's Clock. Blurs the line between the mental and real worlds."
While thinking of clocks, he checked a working clock on the wall to see what time it was. It was definitely later than when he had started this adventure, and his shift was almost over. He decided to leave 10 minutes early, after all, he saved the day, why not call it a night?

So that's it, everyone. Sorry this wasn't really too tickle focused, but I kinda got invested in the character development. After just drawing Robin in laughing fits this whole time, it was kinda awesome to draw him as a bad*ss. Also, another point of this exercise was kind of to see if I could manage to keep up with a frequent update schedule like this. Now that I know I'm capable of doing things like this, I might upload more frequently. And it'll be more planned out than this.
