Sorrowing Young Man - @REKu_1010
An art based on a famous oil painting "Sorrowing Old Man (At Eternity's Gate)" by Vincent van Gogh. It's a painting that I'm fascinated with and wanted to have something related to it since the end of last year. van Gogh made it when he was healing from severe relapse in his mental health, shortly before his death. Ever since the first time I saw it, I was drawn in by the duality it portrays, both despair and hope of a person at the edge. I thought it would be a good picture to be a milestone in all the problems I went through this year, not as a sign of defeat, but a victory. I'm not the kind of person to forget the past, I like to remember the things that happened, to keep them important, while also reminding myself that they're a thing that already passed. So I'm gonna keep this drawing as a little heirloom to sit in the corner of my gallery. I got it drawn some time ago and decided on delaying the upload to the moment I feel better and so the day has come.
