Reference sheet I did for my updated fursona's design. He's a Nodenizen, which is a semi-aquatic species of my own. Almost amphibian like, Nodenizens can't survive infinitely out of the water and must keep themselves hydrated at all times, or perish. AKA I need to learn to drink my heckin water.
But because I can't even be too consistent about that, he's also mutated and can shapeshift (up to a point) with magic.
