Some of you might be confused by this. This isn't what Zuri normally looks like. She doesn't have hair like this. And last time she wasn't a robot person with wheels on her feet.

Ah, but this isn't the Zuri you're familiar with :) Once again I invite you into the world of HC SVNT DRACONES, where, quite a while ago by now, I played this lovely lady. Her official name is Dawn Abasi, but she was born (yes, born) Zuri Kereenaga. And I generally still call her Zuri. Obviously there is a lot to tell here. She was a character in a long-running RPG campaign after all. But I shall attempt to summarize.

First, she is a cog, which are are race of machine people. Their creators have gone through great length to ensure they would be on equal footing with vectors (the race of anthro animals that make up the majority of the population in HSD). Their intelligence is emergent and develops naturally. They "grow" by regular getting new bodies during their youth. They are roughly as resilient as a vector, they need to eat, after a fashion, and they have a limited lifespan.

Dawn Abasi is living on Mars with her girlfriend Amylia. She works for a company that designs and maintains custom cog bodies. She is quite good at her job, but overall is a quiet member of Sol's corporate society.

This identity, however well it was created, is a fake. Her real name is Zuri Kereenaga. She was born and grew up in Possibility, a large city, ran mostly by Progenitus. After her parents died under mysterious circumstances she was forced to flee to the literal underground. She spent a while there, eventually managing to get out, just in time to avoid a large-scale purge of the largely illegal, if not outright criminal elements down there. She was involved in a large-scale transcendent event that followed, eventually managing to flee to more or less the other side of the planet, where she managed to find a place to settle down with Amylia, whom she met in the underground of Possibility. Overall it was not a good time for her (there's a reason by the other players and even the guide started calling her "Miss Zuri" (as in "misery") But she got a reasonably happy ending.

This ref-sheet was created by Irdeorum. I was lucky enough to win a raffles of theirs, and I thought their art was a great fit for HSD, so I decided to get a ref-sheet of Zuri done. And I think the result is nothing short of amazing! Irdeorum went above and beyond, doing a lot of concepting and helping me narrow down her design.
