Back during the old day where I used to play Mystery Dungeon, I've never had a problem dealing with the Kecleons in the dungeons since my characters were max leveled, stocked on items, and was always near the stairs before using orbs to grab the items from the shop and move up to the next floor.

This is what happens when me as a froakie and the Mudkip, Lily, try to steal from the kecleon known as Bubbles. Not only does he nommed us both, but he even takes our goods too! That's not how it works in Mystery Dungeon! Hopefully, he lets us out later.
