I pick comic cameos by making a call out on Twitter and picking someone from the responses. Sometimes I'll pick the first one (or 5 or 6 or whatever, depending on how many I need), sometimes I'll pick every 4th person, etc. But that, as of now, is the only way to get a cameo.
