Hmmm... the only possible link I could come up with, is the lord of the seas Rævil. He's being mentioned in the Edda's ballad "Reginsmol" where you would hear about "Rævil's steeds" meaning sea-horses or sea-steeds as a picture for ships:
They ran into a great storm, and were off a certain headland. A man stood on the mountain, and said:
16. "Who yonder rides | on Rævil's steeds,
O'er towering waves | and waters wild?
The sail-horses all | with sweat are dripping,
Nor can the sea-steeds | the gale withstand."
Regin answered:
17. "On the sea-trees here | are Sigurth and I,
The storm wind drives us | on to our death;
The waves crash down | on the forward deck,
And the roller-steeds sink; | who seeks our names?"
The Man spake:
18. "Hnikar I was | when Volsung once
Gladdened the ravens | and battle gave;
Call me the Man | from the Mountain now,
Feng or Fjolnir; | with you will I fare."

And as a bonus, here the original:
16. 'Hverir rtða | Rævils hestum
hávar unnir, | haf glymjanda?
seghigg eru | sveila stokkin,
munat vágmarar | vind umstandask.'
Reginn svaraði:
17. 'Hér eru við Sigurðr | á sætrjám,
'er oss byrr geflnn | við bana sjálfan;
fellr braltr breki | bröndum hærri,
hlunnvigg hrapa. | hverr spyrr at þvl?
hann kvað:
18. 'Hinkar hHxx mik | þá er Hugin gladdak
Völsungr ungi | ok vegit hafðak.
nu mát^ú kalla | karl af bergi,
Feng eða Fjölni; | far vil ek þiggja.'

I like bondage but vore scares me ironically. Worst way to die: Slowly dissolving away painfully, in the end you're literally crap and you only provide energy (and pleasure) for a short few moments.
Unless you live, then that's different. But I find this rather cute despite what just said... itssss sssssssuper ssssssmexy.

lol, some of the best soft vore is the stuff that makes a point of the victim not being digested. it's like a form of permanent encasement bondage. I mean really, I think at its core that's exactly what soft vore is to a lot of people--or at the very least, to me--a quirky form of bondage.
