Was trying to describe to someone what my commission process is (only selling stream time at the moment) and this dropped into my head. Does it ring true for you? Make sure to leave a comment below. Also like and subscribe.

Well, there are always two sides to a bad commission experience, having been on both sides (not a bad commission experience where I was the creator yet luckily. ^^ ; ).
In the end, it boils down to this for me:
You are free to do things by your terms and people are free to take them or leave them. Being upfront about things usually saves issues later on.
Art is a pretty free market in the end. So there is no "standard wage" or any kind of hard rules.
I mean, look at the high end art market and see what people are willing to pay a lot of money for and that should disabuse you of any notions that there is even remotely some kind of set, objective criterion for how much a thing is worth...
A black line and a red line on a piece of canvas can go for a higher price than a custom made, meticulously anatomically correct picture with a stunning, impressionist background.
It is supply and demand.
