11/2/21: All Souls Day/El Día de Los Muertos for family
Being a devout Roman Catholic, having to have this day will bring significance as it is the day we will honor those who have died this year. For an hour, I have been reflecting how bad this year was for me as an uncle (though in-law, but still is family), died of COVID in April, and an aunt died of ALS. I did shed a few tears for them, but it was to glorify their passing as it was more of a reflection on how they have lived, and how their lives were good before their terminal diseases-I was both sad, but also happy after time thinking about them. Despite that I would have a mass for the day, being at home for this was more devotional; the pandemic had me deeply praying for them before and after the picture was taken, and I was hoping that Jesus would give them rest and happiness in the world they are in. Of course, they will be cleansed before entering heaven, but I do hope that they will have an easier pathway to it. I wish them the best and I hope to see them again.
