This is a test, to see if I should upload anything else along these lines.
This particular rifle has a 3 part story which I will compile into a collage.

Read the story-like description and if you still have questions I'll try to answer as best I can.

(I meant to say, by the way, this is really well-done... Just saying.)
Well, it's not a topic of confusion so much as a critique kinda thing in this instance... Why is there no cylinder for the bullets? They're exposed to the open air for some reason. The risk of simultaneous discharge of multiple (or all) bullets is bad enough when you're doing it with rifle rounds in a cylinder, but rifle rounds and no cylinder and just having them right next to each other seems like trouble.

Hmm... never thought of it that way... the original concept I had was to do a steampunk time line of how an inventor took a normal revolver, and eventually converted it to a fully automatic rifle, this instance here is about halfway through that. From the open cylinder the next step is to put the rounds on a belt that would be fed via the same system that rotates this open cylinder.
I saw no less danger than is present when toting around a belt of rounds.
In this situation there's no cylinder because one could not be salvaged. As you can see it is created out of salvaged parts. The story, which I shall include in a few days after finishing the edits on the first two rifle designs, explains that better.

Yeah, there's not much more danger on paper, but when you fire a rifle round in a revolver setup, the other bullets are exposed to an immense amount of sudden heat and the like, and they have a tendency to, for all intents and purposes, spontaneously combust. Having a cylinder would help a little, but it's generally not a good idea to have a revolver rifle. There's a reason they don't do them. (Colt did a revolving rifle during the Civil War period, but it fell prey to this problem.)
It does look salvaged, though. The wooden furniture reminds me of a Kalashnikov, actually, that kinda helps with that idea.

Well it's built mostly out of parts from the AK and SVD soooooooo >.>
And hmmmm THEORY CRAFTING!! Heat shield fins on either side of the bolt? They'd retract along with it so the new round can cycle. Help or no?
And trust me, this is improved from the first version where it was 100% open ;)
I never knew that's why they failed though, thank you for teaching me ^.^ I always just thought they got replaced by the tube mag really fast.

It wouldn't weigh any more than if it held 10 rounds actually. Remember there isn't an actual cylinder, so the weight of a 10 round and a 2 round open cylinder would be the same.
And those "Wooden Rounds" essentially would act as the heat shields. And I'm guessing but I think the wood would weigh less than the powder. But I could be very wrong.

It wouldn't weigh any more than if it had 10 rounds, but a 10-round cylinder is a big cylinder in the first place, you know what I'm saying?
The wood would weigh less than the bullets, most likely. Because it would take up a little less space axially, it's already thinner and stuff, and it is lighter. The only thing making it heavier is the metal casing, and bullets have those too.

But with the open cylinder the only part of it that's going to add weight are the two metal bands that hold the round to the central rod. That's all that is. Adding 4 more bands isn't going to effect the weight much. A solid 10 round cylinder would be heavy, but idk that you'd even notice the difference with this.
Don't worry, I think it's a very serious program, since it can have this:

I urge you and anyone else looking at this to actually look at ALL of those. They get progressively better even as you go down the list. And that's only a portion of what awesome has been done in this program. Even with Photoshop I could make the crappiest scribble, or the most beautiful painting. It's how you use a program that matters.
