Meet Rex Kaursh! He is a dog man that fights for his friends and protects them fiercely. Draped in his elegant silks and clad in his shiny armor he will tear down anything to keep you safe with his big axe!!
I use him in the DnD campaign I am in. He is a rougarou which is a race in that universe.

No, nothing like that. He was raised by a humble man and he became a mercenary. Red was just the colour of his choice that he rocks damn well.
Works into playing the tank role though. Red is a stark colour that attracts attention.
