Shade is a professional vocalist, guitarist, and bassist. He writes, records, mixes, and masters all of his own music.

"Twix (Black Tiger Fox)" is a theme song commission for a friend, Shade originally planned to have a funk bass guitar accompaniment, rather than the featured acoustic guitar, but ran into technical difficulties, and wrote said guitar riff instead. The song uses two tracks, one on a condenser microphone recording vocals and rhythm guitar, and the other on the electric guitar solo.
