TonyaSong and I met for the first time at Furpocalypse 2017, when I was invited to be a guest singer for Foxes and Peppers. She played bass guitar. When I was invited onstage to sing an original song by them called "Stay As You Are," I remember being quite nervous particularly because it was the first time I had ever sung with a band by myself. Tonya was quick to put me at ease and as the song went along, I became more confident and sang with all my heart. Not only was it a very memorable experience, but I came out of it with a really close friend in the process.
