For those wondering: "Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe" is a serial written by one of my characters, which generally centers around Sarah, the only woman engineer in the USA, on a fictional line of the eponymous railroad in 1895. Action is typically either aboard her train, or in the fictitious silver town of Redrock, AZ, which is booming after Tombstone's bust in '86.
Those on the right are recurring characters. Cody is her possibly-ghost boy assistant. Flint is a celebrity bartender and Poker addict, ever being run out of town for being unable to pay his gambling debts. Stationmaster Harrison had his reputation dented after mis-setting and not winding her watch (whether these were intentional is unproven) and holds a grudge. Valentine is a perpetually-unsuccessful train robber and bandit who sees himself as a casanova. Dr. Sneed is a genius mechanical inventor who, after the Feds snubbed his offer of improved steam turbines (which didn't seem all that improved), has vowed vengeance; he often tries to waylay shipments or important guests aboard her train, desiring to embarrass the government somehow. "Professor" Sanos is a vicious and dangerous snake-oil salesman and con artist, whose medicines are apt to outright kill people; his Svengali-like hypnotic abilities never seem to work on Sarah. (Spanish: matasanos = killer of healthy people, a pun suggested by the artist).

I second Anfic.
Do you hear that whistle down the line?
I figure that it's engine number 49
She's the only one that sounds that way
on The Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe
See the ol' smoke risin' 'round the bend
I reckon she knows she's gonna meet a friend
Folks 'round here get the time of day
from The Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe
Here she comes!
Whoo hoo hoo hoo whoo
Hey Jim, you better get the rig!
Whoo hoo hoo hoo whoo
She's got a list of passengers that's mighty big
And they'll all want lifts to Brown's hotel
'cause lots of them been travelin' for quite a spell
all the way from Philadelphiay
on The Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe.
