Using the open-source image loading library, Picasso, Furblr now has a working content feed that loads the images from your Submissions page! The images dimensions need to be standardized and the constraints need to be updated so you can actually read the titles, but this is an exciting proof of concept.
This update includes :
- a refactor of the networking layer to use a Kotlin version of Promises. This allows for improved async task chaining over the previous method of passing callbacks.
- updated iconography to identify the counts of views, comments, and favorites.
- parsing of the creator's profile information so we can show off their avatar next to the submission.
- images in the main content feed.
What's next :
- standardized image widths.
- improved padding between images so they're not crowding each other in the feed.
- improved layout constraints so that titles are legible.
- a color and theme facelift.
- a full detail view when you tap on the images.
