Exploring the stars is quite an exhilarating experience, blazing a trail through the cosmos with the solar winds at your ship's aft, the trails of energy burning a trail through cosmic dust as new worlds lie in wait to be discovered. Alexandra took contracts from science types to obtain samples of unknown material from the frontier of human space, as drones and probes had lost contact from several anomalous planets. But in her eagerness to earn her pay she was just as lost to the stars as the machines sent before. But as search parties geared up to head to her last known location she returned, but a bit different than before. Humanity wasn't alone in the universe, at least in the relative sense, the probes and drones sent into the unknown had no minds or strong will to survive the remnant labyrinths of a race long gone. But Alexandra had the spirit to make it out, and not without a few souvenirs, her new suit being her biggest prize, granting her abilities far beyond human limits. But there was a cause for that old race to have vanished, and humanity's fear of the unknown wouldn nring back that caution of silent space...
