Here at Anthrocon 2005, Anna Reschen arrives to conduct scientific research. Surrounded by these unusual beings called 'furries' they don't seem to notice a werewolf scienstist as she conducts scans and takes samples to analyze back at the lab.
One of the few times I could actually get away with half suiting, I found I much preferred the experience of the full suit to the half suit, it just feels more complete to me. :)

Because, socially speaking, I'm enough of a coward just standing at the train station wearing normal clothes. I hardly like to think how much of a mess I'd be at a convention, wearing a giant animal costume. Almost certainly too scared to maintain an actual character, even if it were my own most pedestrian one.
What you could try is seeing if you have a friend that fursuits that has multiple suit and would be kind enough to allow you to wear it. I have a friend that actually did that and instantly became addicted, and their mentality in regard of public exposure is no different than your own. I met All of Laurens' different suits, from ZigZag to Topaz.
