A little-known ruler of Egypt long ago, Shadya became a pharaoh and remained on the throne for a long time. Shortly after turning 29, she died of a sudden terrible illness, but before taking her final breaths, she vowed to return someday and continue her reign. Thousands of years later, her promise came true -- her body magically restored to the state it was in just before she'd fallen ill, Shadya emerged from her sarcophagus, picked up her old staff and began venturing out of her tomb, surprised by how worn down it had become. She stepped out only to be greeted by the shock of her afterlife, as a modern-day world and modern-day people greeted her! She made headlines upon being seen, understandably gained many admirers, and become a figure of interest to Dr. Henry. After meeting with him, Shadya became his ally, and she now understands that there may be a particular reason she was resurrected now: Her ancient combat skills and magic could be a key to saving humanity. And in Shadya's mind, there might be no quicker way to endear oneself to the people and become their leader than saving them all.
