Domafox here with the unfortunate news that my dog, Lodo, was put to sleep as of today.
She was with my family since February of 2000. She came into the family's life after my dad brought her home as a pup. He was sweet talked into bringing her home after a friend of the family couldn't keep her.
Her name was made when she was in my parent's room one night and my mom was making the comment, "if you chew on my shoes, your name is mud" and my dad began the brainstorm thinking that the spanish word for mud was Lodo since our previous dog was also given a spanish name.
She was a great member of the family. From all the times swimming to being a great watch dog of the house, and just being a great companion on road trips through town.
But sadly today she ended up with a serious case of bone cancer that was forming in her shoulder blade that was very close of damaging her spine. The growing tumor began to make it more impossible for her to perform this whole summer. As of the last two weeks, the tumor was very serious to control and even if the shoulder and leg were to be removed, there was no guarantee she would stop the cancer since we never knew where the exact source was located.
She lived a long life time for a 1/3 Shepherd, Lab, and Mastiff breed, but it is now time to put her to rest and just live on in memories from this point forward.
Rest in Peace Lodo, I will miss you :('
