A wind blows around the new day in North Carolina in the morning where Jaiden and Albert start their morning walk at the path that will lead to the mountains. Albert planned to spend his week of vacation with Jaiden. He has been working hard at his job so much, he got permission to have the week off due to stress. The two men carrying their pack bags during their walk-in such normal weather during their journey. The greenish leaves fall off the branches of the trees as Jaiden watched up to them feeling relaxed. Albert looked at Jaiden with a smile, wondering what he is thinking about in that head of his.
“You doing okay young one?” said Albert. Jaiden snapped back to reality as he looked at Albert with a surprised expression.
“Hmm? Oh, I’m fine Albert. I have to say I’m excited to have a vacation with you for the week.”
“Yea hehe, my boss figured I need a week off after busting my ass for working as a secretary for 6 years. It wasn’t easy but it was worth it.”
Albert feeling confident after working so hard, he deserves a break like this. Going to North Carolina was his to-do list if he ever needed a vacation. And inviting Jaiden was also part of his plan. Jaiden is happy to see Albert happy, patting him on the shoulder as they kept moving on to where the cabins are. Once they got there, they head inside first to see two employees, the left employee is a bear and the right employee is a human male standing behind the desk, souvenirs on shelves, free maps on the round table near the entrance, and a small museum about the forest. Jaiden grabs one of the maps to keep for their travel in case they get lost. Albert walks to one of the employees to ask about the forest.
“Excuse me, kind gentlemen, it’s my first time here with a friend. And I want to ask about the forest itself. Do you know anything about it?”
One of the employees spoke up.
“Well of course! The forest you are in right now is Croatan. One of the four national forests in North Carolina and the true coastal forest of the east. This forest is 160’000 pine forests, saltwater estuaries, bogs, and raised swamps known as pocosins. In here, you can see great views of the rivers and the hills itself if you are high enough.”
“May I ask, what are pocosins?”
“Pocosins are wetland bogs with sandy peat soil and wooden shrubs. They are always damp and formed by the accumulation of organic matter. So you find plenty of them in the rivers.”
“I see, that is interesting to hear. But are there any kind of cautions I should be worried about?”
“There is one, sadly we have a bridge that can help you cross to the other side of the hills, but sadly a tree destroyed the bridge in half due to termites. So it’s still in construction.”
“That’s a shame. But I thank you for telling me this.”
“Not at all! If you have any more questions, let us know!”
After his questions are answered, Albert went back to Jaiden. Jaiden opened the big map that shows the locations and roads to where they need to go. They are at the cabin, so getting in the forest shouldn’t take at least 3 mins, Jaiden thought.
“Hey, Jaiden, any idea where we should go?”
Albert asked. Jaiden looked at Albert to reply. He pointed at the entrance of the road where they need to go.
“Right here, it shouldn’t take us that long since the entrance of the forest is right there. So we can sightsee everywhere we need to go. And I have to say, this is an appropriate environment for my species since crocodiles and alligators usually live in swamps and rivers.”
“I’m glad you accepted my invitation. And since this is camp-free, we don’t have to worry about rangers getting us in trouble.”
The two left the cabin before Jaiden closes his map and puts it inside of his bag. As the two finally walked onto the entrance of the forest. They see a low bridge they need to cross, around it is water and logs that are standing or laying on the water in each direction. Everything around them looked peaceful. They observe around the area that Albert decided to grab his phone and pull Jaiden close to take his first picture with him. Jaiden was caught by surprise a little, but he smiles at the camera as Albert pushes the button. Once the picture is taken they kept walking. He saved the photo and put it as his wallpaper to always remember by. He keeps taking pictures around the area, and Jaiden sees him like he is a happy child made him smile.
They been walking for a while, no more than 40 mins. They decide to sit on the bench that is near one of the rivers full of pocosins. Albert takes a picture of pocosins and Jaiden just stares at them. Maiden however, just looks back at him with a puzzled expression.
“Jaiden, do you have to take pictures of everything?”
“Of course. Don’t you like taking pictures?”
“I do but not too much. Taking too many pictures get me bored pretty easily.”
“I understand but it’s the journey that counts. Are you telling me that whenever you go on your archaeologist adventures, you never took a single picture?”
“Lets just say it’s co-”
Their conversation interrupt as Albert felt something fall from the sky. He felt it from his head, it was like water but small. As he looks up, he sees dark clouds forming together. It was going to rain soon. Jaiden also looked up and notice the dark clouds.
“Shit its gonna rain! Albert we need to find shelter quick.”
“Agreed!”
He two ran to find shelter but not back to where they came from. They went to another path which leads to the forest. The rain starts to fall down but it wasn’t that strong. It wasn’t weak droplets either. Luckily they found a big tree with it’s bark and log huge and thick. Good enough to keep them from getting wet. They went under it and took a breather while getting a little wet. They looked at each other with a good laugh. However, they are disappointed that the rain appeared all the sudden. They didn’t have time to set up camp. They have no choice but to stay under the tree for now. Jaiden and Albert take their shirts off for getting soaked. Wrapping and squeezing them tightly. Both men are shirtless and Albert takes a good look at Jaiden’s front view of his body. He became flustered, couldn’t resist to never look at such an amazing body. Jaiden’s big chest, his rock-hard abs, and his v line between his crotch. Jaiden looked back with a puzzled look. Noticing Albert’s blushed face.
“Um…earth to Albert? You okay buddy?”
“Holy…Jaiden! You have such an amazing body!”
Albert’s jaw drops, he has been wondering ever since they first trained together, he thought he was going to be slacking like other kids back then. But he thought wrong. Jaiden also turned flustered as he looks away with a red face. Rubbing the back of his head as he thought of the same thing for Albert. He wasn’t messing around in the gym either.
“I could say the same thing to you bro…heh, I guess we both been training our bodies and minds for the better.”
“Oh hell yeah! If it’s alright…mind if I feel them?”
Jaiden looks at Albert with a surprised look, but he smiles as he stands in front of him. To let him enjoy and feel his muscle mass.
“Go ahead Albert.”
Albert smiles by being allowed to feel Jaiden’s body. He first starts off by rubbing slowly on his big scale pecs. They feel very smooth but also firm. Then goes to rub in both of his biceps, Jaiden has been working on his body like iron. Albert is amazed but is too close. Jaiden started to blush red after Albert looked into Jaiden’s eyes. The two became silent, It felt like they both wanted to do something after reuniting after a long time.
“Jaiden…”
“Albert…”
Albert and Jaiden close their eyes. Leaning their lips closer together as they give each other a deep passionate kiss. They embrace, Albert lifts him up as he steps back away from the tree. Jaiden holds onto him, his arms wrapped around Albert’s neck as his legs wrapped around his waist. The two men feel the rain pouring onto them as they both gotten wet. But they don’t care. They know they wanted to do this for a while. Embracing their kiss till the rain ends.
