When Coach was younger, he took his girlfriend Terry to see the beautiful crater lake in Oregon and proposed to her there. He has an obsession with sports equipment and phrases (not sports themselves) and used that for his proposal. He made the baseball ring holder himself because he likes to modify sports equipment.
