Been out since 1953 Sold to Tyco Toys in 1982 Mattel bought Matchbox in 1997
These shown here are the ones to look for & worth more if they in Grade A1 shape & have the original boxes

Before Matchbox outsourced to China they were made in England too
These are made in England
