Gameplay wise? Some things needed more work or fixing but it seems awesome (didnt play it but everyone says what I just said)
Story wise? Worse than a cheap B-class action movie. Samus' personality? Apparently Japs find the idea of a woman running around, shooting stuff and not giving a shit so obscene, they fucking turned her from badass mercenary into a obedient little errand girl with daddy issues.

Well, canonically, she was raised by the Chozo, but later she joined the Galactic Federation Police. It's all in the Metroid Zero Mission manga.

Well, I think storywise, it takes place after Super Metroid, but before Fusion, because Samus's suit permanently changed to the Fusion suit due to her fusion with the Samus X clone. That's what I think. Also, totally agreed on the sequel remake idea, if Pkemon can do it, then Goddammit, why can't Metroid?

Makes me think if I should play Metroid for once... and maybe see if there are any "special cheats."

Cheats? Only one I know of is "Justin Bailey" for NES Metroid. Not really a cheat, but can be considered a "shortcut with some extras"
