Another picture for my little side project (explained in its base form right here), this time involving one of the more unusual elements of the setting... and before you say anything, yes I just color-swapped the background from the last picture. Deal with it. >:P

Alan Kreiger was born a little different than the rest of the 'chu kids in his family. While his brothers and sisters grew up learning to control their electrical abilities, Alan quickly discovered that he had none... rather, he was able to form ice and snow like his Glaceon mother could. He then learned that he is what modern science refers to as a Delta Pokemorph; due to a very rare genetic quirk, he has the physical traits of his father's species line but the inherent powers of his mother's... for all intents and purposes, he's an Ice-type with all its associated strengths and weaknesses.

Growing up was often awkward, and Alan never really felt like he fit in anywhere, even among his own family. Sure everyone loved him during those hot Johto summers, but he knew that he would always be considered the weird kid even if it wasn't meant in a bad way. When he turned 18 he learned of the Guild of Exploration and Rescue all the way over in Kanto, and how many others like him went there, he decided that maybe he should put his unique ability to a proper use and made it his personal goal to be accepted into their ranks.

Some six years later he hasn't regretted that choice, and the near-permanent smile on his face shows it. Not only has he gotten to see some of the wildest places in the world, but he's also got a great friend and teammate to work with, and best of all no one looks at him funny when he starts throwing snowballs instead of lightning. Well, no one with a badge like his anyway...
