This here is Oliver Redburrow, Penny's firstborn son. She rescued his egg from an unscrupulous merchant that had been selling dragon eggs to the highest bidder, and nested and then raised him herself.

Oliver is a brine dragon, possessed of incredible power over water, wind, and storm. But his greatest skills lie in his shapeshifting, which he mastered at a much earlier age than most dragons. So adept is he at transformation magic that he actually prefers to remain a human for the majority of the time, except in his most vulnerable moments with close family.

While "adopted," the Redburrow clan has never been one to place any distinction on such things. He is Penny's first kid, and she loves him dearly, although he is frequently embarrassed by how eager and overly affectionate she can be. His relationship with Eliza is seemingly cool and even confrontational at times, but in reality the two are just stubborn, and their bickering is mostly in good fun.

Oliver is closest in his family to Sabrina, as he basically raised them from childhood (as Oliver was already in his early twenties when Sabrina was born). He calls them "sib" affectionately and he remains one of the few people Sabrina genuinely feels comfortable opening up to in their darkest moments. The two are largely inseparable, and although his preferred form is quite a bit smaller than the half-dragon kobold, he openly treats them as the little sibling they are to him.
