What game is that ? By looking at the Video, 9400M, you are running it on a laptop. Most laptops can not handle most of the newer games, unless it is a high end Alienware or something. I use my laptop for Torchlight and D2 and that's about it.

It's Mafia II. Yeah, it's a unibody macbook (hardware version 5.1). It runs Left 4 Dead 2 just fine, and Alien Swarm runs fairly well on it too. This one is just a bit too much, I guess :/

I'll have to check the game out. If you like the Diablo series, try Torchlight. I can play it on my crappy Dell D830 and it even has a net-book mode ( very laptop friendly game )

Ah gotta love laptop CPU's, I'd cringe if this was my desktop CPU temp but my laptop regularly hits 80C, bah

lol yeah, it normally runs about 65 with only msn and firefox open. True idle, I can get it down to 60ish, but I have to bring it outside in the cold night to get it any colder than that. The coldest I have ever seen it was 29 I believe. I'm just glad that my CPU is supposed to be good up to 110 lol

That's one thing that still baffles me, my desktop can sit idle at 0-1% for hours at a time and yet, doing the same thing on my laptop idles at 40%.

When I was between laptops I ended up with a Dell netbook, that thing idled at 85C and went well into the 90's if I forgot it on the sofa. Intel Atom is rated for that high as well, and it didn't have far to get there!

*falls over* Really? Wow, mine idles anywhere between 200-500MHz at 0-5% at idle. Even as I'm typing this, it's not going over 700 MHz (constantly changing clock. It's a cool part of the Core 2 Duo). One thing I absolutely love about this is that I can leave it wherever want (even while playing a game), and it won't overheat cause all the cooling is done through the hinge. I get lots of shit from my friends for owning an Apple computer, but they did a lot of things right, and the cooling system was one of them. Still a tiny bit of room for improvement there, but not much. Now I just need to get that HDD lol

I have to be honest, I hated the first Mafia game. I worshiped Grand Theft Auto 3 at the time, and by comparison, Mafia was just a mess IMO. But that, in no way, reflects how I feel about this most recent one.. I've got high hopes and can't wait!

Yeah, based on the demo, it should be nice. It's just too bad that my GPU can't handle it :/
